Jimmy E. White

Jimmy E. White

Anchorage, Alaska

Jimmy White came to Alaska in 1989 as a soldier in the United States Army and fell in love with the state.  After graduating cum laude from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 1995 he attended Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law, where he also graduated cum laude and was recognized by the Brainerd Currie Honor Society and where he served on the Mercer Law Review and Moot Court teams, and where he won the Gabrielle National Moot Court competition.  Upon graduation he practiced complex civil litigation for several years with a large national firm before returning to Alaska with his family.  Jimmy has practiced with Hughes Gorski Seedorf Odsen & Tervooren, LLC since 2004 and has been one of the owners of the firm since 2006.  His hard work and talent have led to repeated recognition as an Alaska Superlawyer, a national BestLawyer, one of the top ten family law attorneys in Alaska, and similar accolades.  He has served multiple times and for several years as the Alaska representative for the Defense Research Institute and is the State Chair for the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys.  His broad experience - from complex commercial litigation and product liability defense for multinational businesses at a national law firm to his representation of local Alaskan families and businesses and professionals has prepared him as a valuable resource not only for national and local business owners and professionals in intercompany planning and litigation, but for individual Alaskans looking for help with intrafamily disputes, whether divorce, custody disputes, post-divorce modifications or litigation.
